The biggest problem we have is we get in our own way. Well, our brain does, but that’s how we’re raised.
We are raised to be analytical: learn to communicate (language class), learn to analyze (math / science class,) learn to make money (business class.) Our minds are sponges when we are born and are heavily influenced by what we learn in the first five years of life. Right at that time we are taught to sit still, do what we’re told, obey the rules, and, sometimes, be quiet, don’t bother me. The lucky ones will have parents who introduce music and art skills, which greatly helps balance out the growing mind. This conditioning gets more rigid and strenuous as we age, which is great for life skills, as we perceive them. And we get used to it. That’s “normal.” While it’s not all doom and gloom, there are many mechanisms available to help us deal with these stresses, getting through life, but it does create a challenge that we need to overcome. Our brains get hardwired, and that’s what we need to overcome to allow mindsight to develop.
Kids have the easiest time learning mindsight. Teenagers are decent too. By adulthood it’s typically much more difficult and requires more training. Here’s why. As adults, our active brain is running at beta and gamma frequencies, which is great for problem solving and working, but not great for calming down, and receiving inspiration.
Mindsight development is a receptive activity. It requires us to get out of our higher frequency thought patters, and allow information to come to us. In other words, we’re trying to get down to alpha and theta states, calming our minds, tossing out some hardwired beliefs and emotions. It’s not as easy as it sounds as it can be a huge struggle to let go of what we thought is real. For example, letting go the belief of I can only see if I use my eyes. We have tools that can help us along the path.
Witness / Read
First, we need to be made aware that mindsight is possible. Reading books and seeing a demonstration are great, but not enough. Our ever logical brain will make excuses for what we’re seeing. Such as, nah, it’s all fake. They’re cheating somehow. I’ve seen too many magic shows and I know there’s always a trick. It’s scripted or they’re getting information electronically or some other means. Seeing multiple demonstrations with different people and situations helps. Knowing the demonstrator / author personally and their integrity is a huge plus.
Faith
Now that you’ve seen it, and accepted that it’s not fake, it’s time to do something about it. Buy a mask, prepare some materials, like color cards, shape cards, and letter cards, find a practice buddy or two, then start practicing. Better yet, go to a mindsight retreat with a bunch of people, getting away from everything that keeps you in your left brain, and in a fight or flight mode. Start working on some mind exercises:
- Breath in through your left nostril and out through your right nostril. This stimulates your right brain.
- If you’re right-handed, start doing activities with your left hand, like brushing your teeth and combing your hair. This also triggers the right brain.
- Smile and laugh. A LOT! Smiling generates endorphins and opens up your mind.
- Meditate. Mindful meditation is HUGE for helping people get into an alpha and theta state. Particularly binaural beats, such as from the Monroe Institute.
- Hypnosis. Use someone you trust, or practice self hypnosis / affirmations, indicating you’re already able to perform mindsight. Create a mental state that allows you to succeed at mindsight.
- Read a chart of color words, but the words are printed in a different color, and call out the color of the color word as fast as possible. Language (the word) is a left brain activity and the color is a right braing activity.
- Use the sun or a really bright light to stimulate areas of your head with a mask on and try to “see” the light. Once found, hold up colors to that spot and try to see the color.
- Start slowly, without a mask, but eyes closed, and see the colors through your eyelids. This can stimulate beliefs of being able to use mindsight.
- Put a pinhole in the left side of a mask and walk around, best under the sun, until a similar “hole” appears through the right side of the mask. Then replace with a mask without a hole.
- Wave your hand in front of your mask until you can “see” the outline of your hand. Then wave something else, like a card, and see the outline of the card. Then someone else’s hand, etc.
- Surround yourself with supporters. The positive energy affects your ability to open up. So does their negative energy, so keep the doubters at bay.
- This is a very important point. It is much easier to demonstrate when you’re surrounded by those who already believe it’s possible, and believe you can do it. When demonstrating in front of those who don’t believe, or don’t want to believe, it can create a block in your mindsight. After sufficient practice, your ability to overcome these negative influences can be achieved. Keep in mind that you may be your harshest critic.
- Combine mindsight training with other modalities, such as qigong (energy building,) remote viewing, telekinesis, etc. These modalities all feed off each other and share a common source: being passive and letting it happen.
Hope
This can be another hard part, being patient and passive, allowing mindsight to activate. Hold onto the hope that it will come. Most of all, it takes an attitude of indifference (just say, “I don’t care what happens, it’s going to be fun.” Having a bunch of activities to perform is great, but gaining mindsight is not prescriptive. It’s not a recipe of instructions and it’s guaranteed that your mindsight will open. Being passive, calm, happy, and indifferent allows mindsight to come to you. We open the door for mindsight to come, and it comes on it’s own timeline, not ours.
Charity
The best way to activate these abilities is to have a heart full of love, to the point of radiating outside of your body. Think of how you can use this skill to benefit others. Help other blind to use this skill. Put it in your mind that you need to see to help rescue someone in danger. Play “hot lava” and you, being blindfolded, have to find those about to sink into the lava and lead them to safety.
Endure
Once your mindsight opens you will have had an experience. It’s not yet a skill. You’ve opened the gate and taken a step into a new world. Now, it’s time to refine your abilities and turn this into a skill. This is where we practice, practice, practice. Gain confidence and get to the point of being able to jump into mindsight. Make it more “difficult” by adding eye patches, full face masks with cardstock, leather, aluminum foil, etc. Try looking past a door, and imagine the door is just an extension of your mask. Look at objects in pitch black, like a closet with the lights off and a towel covering any light sources under the door. Practice in front of others, Teach others. Demonstrate in front of believers and non-believers. Mindsight can fade if not exercised, and it can come back if lost by practicing.
When I was learning real-time mindsight, I had already experienced years of regular mindsight, seeing fuzzy objects and seeing above my physical being, that I thought having real-time mindsight open would be a natural, calm activity. Boy was I wrong! It was such an overwhelming emotional trip. Do your best to stay calm, accepting, and full of love. Having an over-emotional experience can close mindsight. Enjoy the experience and experimentation.
